Almost

The day that almost was.

The Young Eagles program has dedicated 25 years to giving youth ages 8–17 their first free ride in an airplane. Their mission is to introduce and inspire kids in the world of aviation... but there would be no inspiration nor introductions today. Clouds rolled in and grounded all flights. So we were stuck on the ground, making styrofoam plate planes and posing for pictures. But hey.. no worries. We've got a evening of backyard camping ahead.

... or not. As it turns out, nerves and the thought of being in an airplane took one kid (who shall remain nameless) completely out of the game, It'll probably take about a day or two to untie those stomach knots. And so... we settled for some hammock swinging and time around the fire ring. In the morning, we'll take down the tents and pretend that none of it ever happened.
