To the Reyes family, I've already expressed my excitement to V, but I want the world to know how thrilled I am about the [upcoming] new addition to the family! You both are such great parents, and I know Justin will be a great big brother to his little sister/brother. Just know that my prayers are with you for a good pregnancy and a healthy baby! As for "big brother Justin", the funny part was that we could not find a big brother shirt small enough to fit him properly. So our inside joke was that you know it's too soon for baby #2 when the "big brother / big sister" outfits don't come small enough to fit baby #1. We figured we violated some unspoken rule that two kids shouldn't be in onesies at the same time :o)
But seriously, we're grateful, and obviously excited. Thanks again for your well wishes and for sharing in our enthusiasm.
ARE YOU KIDDING ME????? That is truly awesome and congrats!! You're probably going to get a little girl and then your life as you know it will be over.;) When is the baby due?
April 25. V has this thing about not having kids with birthdays too close... so we couldn't aim for June again. Instead, she saved up her vacation days and we aimed for April figuring that she'd take May & June off from teaching and have a good 4 or 5 months to decide whether to return to work in September.
And bingo. April 25th it is. Hey... call me the Michael Phelps of the reproduction olympics (my boys can swim!). Now I've just gotta wait 8 more months for my gold medal.
And as for it being a girl this time... at least I realize there is absolutely zero I can do to prepare for that level of anxiety. So I'll just sit back and enjoy the ride.
