ERT16 Day 24

Our biggest one-day splurge of the trip:  Sea World San Antonio! Once again, we got there when it opened at 10 and left only an hour before the 9 o'clock closing time. The empty parking lot was the first good sign. Our first ride of the day was the Journey to Atlantis boat roller coaster. There were no lines for this ride... or any others the entire day. Combine that with overcast skies and warm temps, and it was the perfect day to be at Sea World. We were able to repeat rides over and over again by just getting off and getting back on. It was awesome. In all, we rode about every ride and saw almost every show (Azul, One Ocean, Clyde & Seamore, and Killer Whales Up Close). The highlight was Lunch with Shamu, where we got to have a small lunch buffet (about 50 people) with the trainers and two of the Killer Whales. We were only a few feet away from the whales... and the food was good. Double win. We capped the day by cashing in on a Groupon for a late dinner at a local and allergy-friendly Italian restaurant. Long day. Exhausting, but otherwise perfect.
